For the past several years, members of the United New York Ambulance Network have gone to our state capital to educate members of the state Legislature on issues important to the commercial ambulance industry. The annual EMS Lobby Day started out as a one-day trip centering on Lobbying and has grown to a two day event that includes a Recognition Banquet where our member companies honor Outstanding Employees for their commitment and dedication to the EMS industry. Each year more than 100 UNYAN members and company employees attended EMS Lobby Day. A Legislative Reception and a flurry of meetings are all part of the Lobby Day experience for UNYAN members, who come from across New York State to meet with Legislators and display their ambulances in front of the State Capitol building.
The "Friend of UNYAN" award honors leaders who have shown through their actions their commitment to Emergency Medical Services and the thousands of EMTs and Paramedics employed by commercial ambulance providers in New York State. 2009 Outstanding EmployeesThe following Outstanding Employees were honored by UNYAN at Lobby Day 2009.
