The United New York Ambulance Network (UNYAN) is a not-for-profit membership corporation established in early 1998 to advance the highest standards of training and care in the medical and emergency medical transportation industry.
Comprised of small and large commercial ambulance providers, UNYAN began meeting in 1996 to discuss issues impacting the ambulance industry across New York State. UNYAN has since forged a common resolve to lead the industry toward providing reliable, cost effective approaches to high quality medical and emergency transportation services.
While we all seek to achieve the most efficient means of health care delivery available, concern for public health, safety and quality patient care must also involve the medical and emergency transportation environment. As patient advocates we need to ensure the safe, reliable and secure transportation of patients from one site of care to another.
UNYAN members provide both routine and emergency medical transportation services throughout New York State. They represent areas comprised of urban, rural and suburban communities. As leaders in the industry, our members are active participants in committees at the local, state, and national level that are involved in the governance of emergency medical care and medical transportation services.
